It was a long, hard and cold winter. I had depression. I got better. And then some other stuff happened.
I participated in Scrawl-a-thon, a fundraiser for Wordsworth Youth Writing camp, and managed to raise over $400 for the camp.
I went to a workshop taught by one of my writing heroes Sarah Selecky . Then I went to the Creative Non-fiction conference in Calgary, where I got to meet one of my other heroes, Sharon Butala.
I’ve been writing fiction again. This summer, I’m going to go to the Sage Hill Writing Experience and study with Lawrence Hill.
Oh, and I completed my third book. It’s a biography called “Truth, love, non-violence: The story of Gurcharan Singh Bhatia.” I have been working on this project for over three years and it’s finally out in the world.
