I wrote the following status on my facebook this morning.

I’ll stop fighting for women’s rights when women receive equal pay. I’ll stop fighting against discrimination when women’s health care is given equal funding and emphasis. I’ll stop talking about women’s rights when I don’t have to read stories about domestic violence any more. I’ll stop fighting for women’s rights when a woman can breastfeed in public without public ridicule. I’ll stop fighting for women’s rights when I can go to a movie theatre and see movies directed by women, telling stories about women like me. I’ll stop talking about women’s rights when women don’t have to worry about unwanted pregnancies or higher incidences of food insecurity. I’ll stop talking about discrimination, women’s rights and feminism when these things and many more happen.
