Lotus land

I am in Vancouver. It is a city I refer to as one of my homes. The other two homes are Saskatoon and Edmonton, although Montreal and Mongolia are also home and a big prairie sky is home too. Perhaps home is every single place I’ve ever been.

I landed last night and my good friend picked me up and we drove through the rain and ate mediocre Chinese food, which is okay when someone else is making you laugh.

Today I’ve been reading The Walking Dead comic books and am going to go to Chinatown and go see “The Rum Diary” at my favourite movie theatre in Vancouver.

I read tonight at 7 p.m. at Project Space (222. East Georgia Street) with fellow Frontenac poet, Nikki Reimer. This will be a reunion with many of my friends, and some new people too.

I’m looking forward to it.
